Hot Air Distribution HVACHot air distibution system hvac

A hot air distribution system is a modern solution that allows for the effective distribution of hot air from the fireplace to various rooms in the house. This not only allows for efficient heating of the entire building but also optimizes heating costs.

How does the hot air distribution system work?

A hot air system (HVAC) is an installation that allows hot air from the fireplace to be distributed to other parts of the house via special ducts. This solution allows the hot air to be circulated not only in the living room beside the fireplace, but also to other rooms, increasing heating efficiency. A main element of the system is the air vent and turbine, which force in the transport of hot air. This type of system is particularly recommended in buildings where central heating is insufficient or where you want to reduce the heating costs with traditional heating systems.

With HVAC, you can fully utilize the heat from the fireplace to heat the entire house, both on the ground floor and the upper floors. This system can operate using gravity or forced circulation, supported by fans.

- gravity air circulation – If we want to heat the room containing the fireplace and adjacent rooms, we can opt for gravity circulation. This system allows for effective heat distribution up to a maximum distance of 3 meters horizontally, counting from the fireplace axis. A gravity-based warm air distribution system is inexpensive and fully independent and reliable, but it does not allow for heating larger areas or controlling its efficiency.

- forced air circulation – it does not have the disadvantages of a gravity system and offers greater implementation options, but they are more complex and therefore more expensive (requires chimney fan). This system is controllable and allows for the transport of large volumes of heated air via a supply vent to distant rooms (up to a maximum distance of 15 meters).

Installation components :

Our store provide main elements to built the hot air distribution system in your house:

Chimney fan - The air supply unit is the heart of the system, determining its effective operation. Its capacity should be matched to the size of the HVAC system installation;

Air filter – traps dust carried by the circulating air. Since it requires regular cleaning, it should be easily accessible; it is usually located close to the air supply unit;

Fittings – i.e., elbows, cross-connections, distribution boxes, and tees;

Diffusers – i.e., diffusers with an adjustable gap through which air escapes. They are used to regulate airflow;

Flexible ducts for distributing hot air - Aluflex and Termoflex; made of aluminum; available in various sizes. Termoflex ducts are thermally and acoustically insulated, while Aluflex ducts are also suitable for building air conditioning systems,
