PN-1000 float switch

The PN-1000 switch is used to control the operation of single-phase submersible pumps based on water level. The advantage of the switch is its compact size and lack of external moving parts. Rising or falling water changes the pressure acting on the switch's internal diaphragm. Pressure changes activate or deactivate the pump via a sensor mounted to the pump housing. When the liquid level exceeds 5-7.5 cm from the bottom of the controller, the device starts the pump. When the water reaches the bottom of the controller, the controller turns the pump off within approximately 5 seconds. The pump is powered through the switch socket.

The device consists of a small pressure chamber enclosed by a membrane connected to an electric controller. The device can operate in two basic states – with or without power to the pump. The rising water level causes an increase in pressure in the chamber, which deforms the membrane, which directly affects the electric controller. The pressure chamber is connected by a cable to a socket, to which the pump plug should be connected, and the socket should be connected to an external power supply.
